Shainee Gabel  - Principal Partner & Senior Writer
​Author, Writer and Director.  Her most notable work is the feature film "A Love Song for Bobby Long," a film she wrote and directed, featuring John Travolta and Akula Partner, Scarlett Johansson. She is one of the industry's leading screenwriters and has supported some of the biggest names in Hollywood as a ghostwriter.  Shainee is also a lifetime member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences where she serves as a Jurist for the Oscars. She also co-authored the best selling book Anthem with Hollywood Icon Kristin Hahn.

T. Rafael Cimino - Principal Partner & Head Writer
​Novelist, screenwriter, HBO Films Executive Producer and a former writer for HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."  Most recently his work has been seen on the hit HBO limited series "Big Little Lies." He is also a Political Contributor to CNN and a Jurist for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - the Emmys. He's authored the novels Mid Ocean, The Heir Apparent, Heavy and the soon-to-be-released, Rivertown.

While most have seen his work in front of the camera, few are aware that Cuba      Gooding, Junior is a brilliant Screenwriter as well. The Oscar winner has co-          written Akula's signature feature, "In The Blind" and is currently a Senior              Writer on the Akula Films, 8-hour limited series, "High Order.

Brian Fichera - Staff Writer

With over a decade in broadcast news, Brian has a vast amount of experience in the realm of unscripted story telling.  In 2019, he turned his sights toward the world of Scripted projects for television.  He is currently attached to the made-for-television serial, "Amanda Wakes Up," an adaptation of Alisyn Camerota's best selling book of the same title.

Brittney Rae Carrera - Staff Writer
Brittney was born in Miami, Florida and is of Cuban-American descent. She's Akula's resident youth ambassador and an acclaimed short film Director with three notable short works under her belt, one of which was selected to premier at the Sundance Film Festival. Her focus on projects aimed at younger audiences makes her a priceless asset to the team. She resides in Los Angeles and Miami.
